Digital Scrapbooking Blogs

5 reviews - what I like and where to find them

Digital Scrapbooking Blogs - See what I like about each of these blogs. Digtal scrapping is something I've always been intrigued by but always thought would be overwhelming. As I've been doing research for this page, I've come across some very interesting resources for learning digital scrapbooking and I think I will start to explore it a bit. One of the ways I'm planning to do this is by checking out these blogs a little at a time. So, here they are:

Digital Scrapbooking Blogs #1 - TheDailyDigi

I listen to these girls on their podcast just about every week...it's called The Digi Show and you can find it on iTunes. I'm very amateur at digi scrapbooking but I learn a lot while I listen...I don't have much time to apply it...I still do mostly paper scrapbooking but I have been doing some hybrid recently. On the show, Katie is always talking about posts she's done for The Daily Digi and they all sound so good. I don't have time to read them all but I wish I did!

Digital Scrapbooking Blogs #2 - DesignerDigitalsBlog

I like that this blog is also part of the larger community at designerdigitals.com. On a sidetracked note the larger site has free digital scrapbook downloads, articles on digital software, digital scrapbooking tips, information on print services for digital scrapbookers and lots of other cool resources. Ok, so on to the blog. I like that is features so many actual digital scrapbook layouts. At the end of each layout, you get a list of the supplies used to create and they are in link format so you can go straight to them purchase them. I also saw hybrid scrap ideas and tutorials for Adobe Photoshop or Elements. You'll also find Thrifty Thursdays where you can get a .99 cent item and 328 items marked down 30%. I've put this blog in my browser folder so I'll let you know what else I find that is interesting.

Digital Scrapbooking Blogs #3 - ScrapGirls

There don't seem to be as many layouts on this blog but some creative ideas none the less. I saw some great info on putting a digital scrapbooking layout on wrapped canvas...talk about neat artwork for your home! There is more personal info from the design team at ScrapGirls.com - this is the main site and is similar to DesignerDigitals - a whole community/store with lots of resources. One of the things that intrigued me the most was the free ebook for beginner digital scrapbookers. I'm probably going to be checking that out soon. It is on the home page a little bit of the way down in the Ready to Get Started? section. Next, they give you a free sample collection/digital kit and then free tutorial videos. I'll also be checking that out as well. There are a few sites I've seen that offer tutorials and resources for beginners so as I go through them, I'll let you know what I think

Digital Scrapbooking Blogs #4

PeppermintCreative - Ok, so here's another blog that is part of a larger site/community/store/freebies. It is an amazing digital world out there, but definitly fun. I've been out of scrapbooking for a while and it makes me itchy to jump back in but I've learned alot while away about babysteps and crashing and burning and the like...I'm a Flybaby I'm off topic so I'll go back to what I was talking about : ). I found this blog on another one (that is on one of my other pages on my site). Well, it is similar in concept to the 2 above but each one has its own unique flair.

Digital Scrapbooking Blogs #5

Joscelyn Cutchens - She designs for peppermintcreative, tattered angels, twopeasinabucket and Jen Martakis Designs. She seems to add a lot of personal stuff in the mix with her layouts. You'll just have to check it out.
